- Hotel Commission Policy
Harrah’s Entertainment has
contacted Commtrak to update us of their current policy regarding agency commissions,
and third party recovery firms. The
policies summarized below impact agency commission opportunities with Harrah’s
hotel group which includes Bally’s, Caesar’s, Flamingo, Harrah’s, Paris, Rio, and
others.
The hotels noted above will
only pay commissions to agencies that have provided Federal W-9 documentation
to Harrah’s Entertainment. This means
that they must have this form on file in order for you to receive any
commission from their properties.
Harrah’s will not honor the
current agreement between your agency and Commtrak unless you provide to them a
separate letter sent by registered mail (or duly notarized) on company
stationery that states that you have given Commtrak the authority to collect
commissions on behalf of your agency. Without this documentation, Harrah’s will
not pay or respond back to Commtrak on any of your records that we bill to
them.
Commtrak’s history suggests
that commissions from these properties can represent a significant impact on agency
income. Therefore we are providing you with:
A W-9 document that must be
completed and forwarded to the Harrah’s address noted on the form. Please disregard if your agency has
previously complied with this policy.
A sample Commtrak
authorization letter that can be copied to your letterhead, signed, and
attached to the W-9 form. If you have
previously provided them with W-9 documentation, then I would still ask that
you send them the Commtrak authorization letter so that we may continue to
represent your agency to Harrah’s properties.

To insure that you fully
realize all potential commission income, we suggest that you comply with
Harrah’s request as soon as possible.
